Flamingo
under the surface
of the present
exists a sea
of possibility
to reach it
a person must
wade in the muddy
rivers of change
and traverse the uncertain
without sinking

Patricia, it was fascinating to read the story of how Maria Popova created her 40 divination cards to make 40 decks for 40 loved ones on her 40th birthday. That delighted me. I love how her flamingo card influenced you, and especially the one for children. Delightful!
Oh my, I love what you’ve written using flamingos, Patricia, connecting with Maria Popova’s wisdom. I do receive The Marginalian, an important gift she offers, always one to ponder. I am guided often by remembering that change can be good, so I wrestle myself to take the next step. Thank you!
