What is a blackout poem?
A blackout poem starts with an established text—like in a newspaper or blog post—and redacts or blacks out words until a new poem is formed. A blackout poem is a bit different than an erasure poem (click on the link to read more). A blackout poem offers a visual element that gives it an additional artistic layer.
